What is Keep Breathing about?
Keep Breathing follows the journey of Liv as she bags herself a flight that unfortunately crashes in the middle of the Canadian wilderness. Alone and with scarce resources, Liv is forced to battle the elements and the odds to survive. But with the ghosts of her past coming back to haunt her, will Liv manage to make it out of this one alive? Has Keep Breathing been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, Keep Breathing has not been renewed for a second season. Given the ending though, that could well change. The final shot of Liv waking up in the wild could see her more purposeful than before, determined to get back to Danny. Generally Netflix gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate. With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly (ala. Squid Game, Bridgerton & Irregulars) Other times, it can take months before Netflix make a decision over a show’s future. So far, Keep Breathing has had a pretty mixed reception from both critics and audiences alike, with some criticizing the show for dragging out its story across too many episodes and there being way too many flashbacks. Despite the ending, Liv’s personal journey is pretty conclusive so we’re going out on a limb and predicting that Keep Breathing will not be renewed for a second season. Just to add extra weight to this, the team over at The Express newspaper have confirmed there are no plans for season 2 We’ll be sure to update this section with accurate details over the coming weeks and months when we know more!
What we know about season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 2 at this point, given Netflix have not green-lit a sequel. The conclusion does open things up for a follow-up though, especially if the cast decide to return and expand this story but that seems very unlikely. If this one is renewed, expect the story to continue on, with Liv working to get back to Danny and potentially finding a way out of the wild and back to civilization.
